Parts List

  1. EKI LED Blinker Kit - http://www.eki.com
  2. 2N2102 NPN Transistor - www.digikey.com
  3. 10K Potentiometer (Volume Control) - www.digikey.com
  4. 1 meg Potentiometer (Volume Control) - www.digikey.com
  5. 1 uF Capacitor - www.digikey.com
  6. 1N457 Diode or equivalent - www.digikey.com
  7. 100 ohm resistor - www.digikey.com
  8. UV LEDS (or any LED's)
  9. Some wire -To connect the potentiometer and LED's up with.  I used telephone wire.

Most of the parts can be purchased from Digikey or Mouser electronics online.   The Potentiometers can be purchased at Radio Shack as well. Whatever shape or size you need for mounting the pots is fine. Just pay attention to the rating.

There are various sellers on Ebay offering UV LED's.  The seller names occasionally change, so it is best to do an Ebay search or ask anyone on the Halloween-L who they are buying these from.  The ones I bought are cheap 100 for $10 LED's from China.

The total parts cost is about $7 without the case.

I don't have a cool case to mount this in.  I welcome any ideas for a good enclosure.  I don't want to throw it in a Radio Shack experimenters box.  I may try using an old lantern.
