FLX Glue Corpse

I was lucky enough to get a test sample of Jerry Chavez's new corpsing FLX Glue from www.SpookyFX.com .  It is a flexible adhesive blend that he created to emulate an older product that no longer exists.  Here is what I did to create a corpse using FLX Glue, Viva paper towels, and a Blucky Skeleton.

My plan is to have the corpse mounted to a wood toe pincher lid.  I may someday make the whole coffin, but for now the blucky will be shackled to the faux wood lid.

I cut out 1" foam board, and dremeled lines and knot holes into it, to give it the wood plank look.

I did a test by painting  the glue on some paint sticks with stretchy webs, crushed cheerios, and cotton.  Each medium has its own look.  Perfessor Evil posted that the best towels for the job are Viva.  He was right. P2010019 P2010025 P5150030 P5150033 P5150034 P5150035
Deathlord ( www.deathlord.net ) has a great project on his site which explains this whole process.  It is based off of Jerry Chavez' original topic. P5150037 P5220017 P5220021 P5220022 P5310085 P5310087
After building out the body with layers of towel dipped in FLX Glue, I flipped Blucky over and mounted a support for the Coffin Lid.  It looks painful doesn't it? P5310089 P5310091 P5310092 P5310093 P5310094 P5310097
This prop is in progress, I still have to do a final mounting to the coffin lid, and then paint a final dry coat on top. P6180027 P6180028 P6180029 P6180030 P6180031 z9JumbloSparks
Here, more webbing and latex is applied. The latex is colored with gray latex paint, and painted onto the stretched out webs. P7010631 P7010632 P7010634 P7010634b
